(Please do not get your own contractor to open electrical distribution cupboards without written authority of the managing agent, as there are dangers of electrocution if work their is not handled correctly.)

LIFT EMERGENCIES: getting stuck in a lift at The Pryors is an extremely rare event. In the event that you are stuck then press the emergency alarm bell in the lift for at least 7 seconds. A 24 hour call out service operated by Langham Lifts’ call centre will operate. They will talk to you, then alert the caretaker, or if he is not there organise for someone to come from Langham to release you. In an extreme emergency due to ill health etc the fire brigade might have to be called if you cannot be released quickly by other means. If the lift is stuck between floors, then the lift can be hand cranked to a landing simply. John Connell and Derek Flack are certified to do this, as is Gilbert Pant. (Flat 19)
